i trained so hard yesterday that i find it difficult to walk and more importantly, i can't go up stairs at all i think i deserve a pat on the back

Today I managed a run that I found a real struggle to commit to mentally, mainly because the last precision was right before a big drop! I managed to get it to the best of my ability so I was proud

I was doing pushup ladders to 10 today, I got to a total of 82 and was no-where near as nackered as usual (I don't train enough), anyway, I decided, having just done loads, to try beat my 2-minute best for pushups and smashed it by nearly 50%! Then did the same for situps (though I was originally going for 200 of them, not 100).

In the end I got to 150, but I really should have just kept going, I was barely worn out at all.
And ladders are the way to go, you seem to get way more done.

If you can do 20 and 50 I reckon you can do the same as me if you push yourself, which is what you should always do. Ladders to 10, for example, are where you do 1, then rest, then do 2 and rest, then 3, 4, 5 etc, up to 10. You only do 10 once then go down again. If you do it right you're dreading having to do just 1 at the end. Summary, total of 19 sets, with reps of:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Using this method, you do the target squared total reps, so a target of 10 gives 100 total reps, 11 gives 121 etc (I can prove this if you like, but won't for now).
My current thing is pressup ladders to 10, interspersed with situps to 20, but only doing even numbers, so 2, 4, 6 etc, giving a total of 200 (full ladders to 20 would be 400). I also do pullups to 5 twice. These go nicely with the pushups as (p = pushup, s = situp, c = chin/pullup):
1p 2s 1c, 2p 4s 1c, 3p 6s 2c, 4p 8s 2c, 5p 10s 3c, 6p 12s 3c, 7p 14s 4c, 8p 16s 4c, 9p 18s 5c, 10p 20s 0c, 9p 18s 5c, 8p 16s 4c, 7p 14s 4c, 6p 12s 3c, 5p 10s 3c, 4p 8s 2c, 3p 6s 2c, 2p 4s 1c, 1p 2s 1c
There is a pattern, for any block it's:
n pushups, 2n situps, 0.5(n + 1) pullups if n is odd 0.5n pullups if n is even 0 pullups at the highest number
I know this seems horribly complex, but the outcome is, for a ladder target of t:
t^2 pushups, 2(t^2) situps, 2((0.5t)^2) pullups
Or, for a target of 10, 100 200 and 50.
Who knew training could involve so much maths? I suspect only ever with me!
